2015 Chrysler 200 estimated 38 MPG!! | Oxmoor Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Louisville KY

While Chrysler corporation is still debating creating a hybrid vehicle they are still listening to consumers in regards to needing better fuel economy. According to the article linked above, the 2015 Chrysler 200 reportedly to be built starting around March-June 2014 is rumored to have fuel economy of up to 38 mpg!!! That is very impressive for a non - hybrid vehicle, I must say! And with its new design it will be hard to pass up!

WILL JEEP CREATE A HYBRID?

Are Jeep Hybrids "inevitable?

According to this article on green.autoblog.com "Chrysler hasn't made any definite plans to build hybrid-electric powertrains for Jeep, and expressed concerns over the off-road performance and durability of such a powertrain".

Jeep does have non-hybrid models that are very impressive on fuel economy. The Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel all have models that can reach up to 30 MPG hwy, as well as the Jeep Cherokee has efficiency ratings of up to 31 MPG hwy. It still seems it may be the next logical move to make a Jeep Hybrid to keep up with the competition. According to the article the difficulties they face are building a suitable hybrid that can live up to the Jeep's off road reputation. So the question is..
